BA15S has pins directly opposite each other, making it suitable for sockets with symmetrical slots.
BAU15S has pins at a 150° angle, designed to prevent incorrect installation in sockets meant for amber bulbs.
These bulbs are not easily interchangeable due to their pin orientation. Even though they share the same diameter and wattage, the physical design ensures they only fit their designated sockets.
